From 1996 to 2002, a major effort was made to unite Asian Americans in the United States with focus in California.  The major key leadership and direction was provided by two great elders in Asian American politics: The Honorable Bok F. Pon and Dr. John B. Tsu, both whom devoted their life to promoting Asian Americans to public affairs.

Bok Pon, then newly appointed as the first Asian to break the political glass ceiling as the Chairman North of the California Republican Party, a position that was first ever granted by votes to an Asian American in the United States.

Dr. John B. Tsu, at the time former advisor to several US Presidents and appointee of Governor’s Deukmejian and Pete Wilson in California.

Here are some photos in that period.  The author is thankful for their support, direction and mentorship and so should the Asian American people.
